About Outcome Canada

Outcome Canada provides a comprehensive view of Canadian economic, social, and demographic indicators. The mission is to make official government statistics more accessible for Canadians who want to monitor the country's economic and social outcomes.

What We Track

We currently track 27 Canadian indicators across seven categories:

All indicators are sourced directly from official Statistics Canada data, accessed through their Web Data Service API.

Data Sources

Statistics Canada — All data is sourced exclusively from Statistics Canada, Canada's national statistical office. Data is accessed through their Web Data Service API and covers economic indicators (GDP, employment, inflation, trade, manufacturing, retail sales, housing, business investment), labour market statistics (Labour Force Survey), price indices (Consumer Price Index), financial data (interest rates, bond yields), and demographic data (population, immigration, emigration).

Data Updates

Statistics Canada releases data on different schedules depending on the indicator. Most monthly indicators are released 30-60 days after the reference period, while quarterly indicators may take 60-120 days. This dashboard is updated as new official data becomes available.

Understanding the Data

Each indicator page provides context on what the indicator measures, why it matters, and when the data is typically released. Historical charts show trends over time, helping you understand current values in context.

All data shown represents official statistics from government sources. We do not make projections, forecasts, or predictions — we simply present the latest available official data in an accessible format.
